WHO ARE WE
The Shinkage Furyo Ryu
We are a school and fraternity of Martial arts descended from the instructions of the masters Aisu Iko, Matsumoto Bizen-no-Kami, and many others of the Kashima Jingu who learned under the guidance of Takemikazuchi-no-Mikoto.Though this school descends from years of training in Koryu, we are a modern martial art, adapting both the traditional and modern. The root of our name, Shinkage, meaning Sacred Shadow, refers to the deities and masters of the lineage, under whose shade we continually stand, and on whose support we continually rely.

What we do:
Warrior liberation
Because our school is inseparable from the Buddha Dharma, our ultimate goal is freedom for all beings, and our relative goal is to protect and shelter others from suffering. We do this through training our martial skill in a three-fold way: First, training the body. Second, training in building our community. Third, training in understanding the way all of the elements of the universe arise. We use the tools of our limbs, conditioning the body, and through a variety of ancient weapons, such as the sword, the staff, the spear, the naginata and many other tools.

Where we are
Gates of nirvana
We endeavor to help others train anywhere in the world. If you have some background in martial arts, or would like to train, please contact us and we will do our best to see if our school might be the right fit for you.
Learning these skills in person is always recommended, and we currently have Dojos in Buenos Aires, Argentina and in Portland, Oregon. We are looking for courageous individuals to train and expand our art!

Though he does not instruct in this style, he hopes that through the modern style he has developed with others, he can transmit the same sense of camaraderie, joy, fraternity, and ultimately, awareness and responsiveness to the needs of others. He is the current Shihanke of the Furo Ryu.Sensei Fede: Grew up wrestling and boxing in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He practices several styles of Jujutsu, both Japanese and Brazilian.
